Hmm - the tablet is of course an input device.
How do we tell windows7 to install a keyboard device driver for the tablet ?
No - NO - its the SMbus driver that is the problem !

Once this is solved I'm sure the tablet device driver installs.
Patience - and the wits comes to the waiting.
Lets see if other people have suggestions here :)

Your drawing tablet must have a factory name and a type number ?

Use this to search the internet for any Windows (7 / 8 / 10) drivers, then download and install into your Windows7, before connecting your drawing tablet.

It must be the desktop port then.

Try open the hardware manager in windows and look for any changes, when you plug/unplug the tablet.
If nothing happens, then the port does not "see" the tablet for any reason.
Try using another port,

If still no change, then re-boot your desktop, immediately tapping several times on the "del" key on the keyboard, until you see the BIOS setup screen.
look for any menu item on USB setting.
It must all be enabled and set to compliance mode.

i'm really not sure about the SM bus, but as the basic system management bus, it could very well be your problem.

Finding a SMBus driver is your next problem, as Windows clearly will not install it automatically, and then it wont find a driver if you try an automatic driver update in device manager using the internet.

Instead you must source the driver from the manufacturer of your PC motherboard.
Its the only way to do it.

Have a look see in your working laptop device manager.
Any hints on the driver here ?
Compare with the desktop device manager.

I fear we are close to the conclusion, that your desktop does not support the tablet under Windows7.
Meaning you will have to upgrade to Windows10 on your desktop

Maybe , but i think that the main problem is that i connected the tablet in the front usb port because they say in the guide book of the tablet "don't connect to front port". So can this really create a problem are they so stupid, it's obvious people excited like me wouldn't read this guide book first !!! what do you think ?
