I noticed my system security program was out of date, Kaspersky Internet Security, and I downloaded the new program. While installing the new version I got a message the Avast program I was using was incompatible (i use it with active protection off just as a secondary scan) so had it automatically uninstall. Since it was not running, the uninstall process froze when it was trying to end it's processes so I ended the installation/uninstallation processes through the task manager. I then uninstalled Avast the correct way after starting it and it worked fine, instead of restarting my computer I chose to do it later. I then installed KIS and it prompted me to restart my PC which I did. However, I did forget to uninstall teh previous KIS version (found it odd teh installer did not prompt me to do this) and somewhere in the mess something happened to my PC that caused it to enter teh Automatic Repair Loop on boot up.

Troubleshooting the Repair Loop I tried safe mode which only sent me back into teh loop, System Restore but oddly no restore points were available, system refresh which only said; "there was a problem and it couldn't," did this suggestion; http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_8-update/windows-8-is-stuck-in-an-automatic-repair-loop/2310c795-d39b-460f-9e4c-c95008e5ce51 which seemed to do absolutely nothing, and also this;

"Prevent Automatic Repair loop

If your Windows 8 or 8.1 PC is stuck in Automatic Repair loop, try disabling the feature via Command Prompt. Type bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled NO and press Enter Key. If the message reads "The operation completed successfully", then Automatic Repair will not appear until you re-enable it with the bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled YES command in an elevated Command Prompt.
Windows 8, Repair your computer, Command Prompt. To disable Automatic Repair completely, type 'bcdedit /set {default} recoveryenabled NO' and press Enter."

That did indeed shut off the repair loop but also threw me into a error message;

Recovery

Your PC needs to be repaired.

The operating system couldn't be loaded because a critical system driver is missing or contains errors.

File:\Windows\System32\drivers\ACPI.sys

Error code 0xc000000f

The next solution I am going to try is using my Windows Reinstallation CD to try to refresh/repair it and was wondering if that will delete all my files? Will this solution possibly work? Is it a good thing to do?

Any other fixes/suggestions are appreciated, thanks in advance for any help. I am running Windows 8.1.

UPDATE; Well, I tried to repair my Windows with the reinstallation DvD and upon the attempt I am given the message your drive is locked, unlock it. Anyone know what the problem is?

I think your system is breakdown-broken
Try re-format it and re-install
Maybe virus caused this and locked your HDD and Files

EDIT:
Once a time i got Virus that didn't let me to boot
at end i formatted it and re-installed

Uh, ya, I coulda done that days ago. Precisely and exactly what I am trying to avoid. Trying out Easy Recovery Essentials, will let everyone know if it works.

You may not need to format it
but the problem that is HDD is locked
maybe locked by virus if that its then there is no way then re-formatting and re-installing
