anyway..... my question is the RAM slots are listed as follows:

DDR3 800/1066/1333/1600*/1800*/2133*(OC) <-- this is on the MSI website
1600 is listed on new egg as a base.
The standarts with the *asteriks are OC only? How do you accomplish the overclock?Through bios right?

Yes, through the correct BIOS settings and having RAM that will support those speeds.
