Dresden Athlon C ???

How can you be sure that you got a Dresden copper core Athlon C cpu when you order a boxed 266MHz Athlon C cpu? Exactly how do you tell it is copper core? Is the "C" on the front of the cpu enough to assure that someone didn't re-label a "B" cpu?
Thanks.

Yeah, retail box chips are/should be copper cores from Dresden. But, does anyone know if there is a code on chip to double check? I was born paranoid/cynical.

I believe there is a difference in the core's color that diferentiates the fab. I think the Dresden core is purple and the other (don't remember where it is) is blue, but I'm not entirely sure about which color is which.

The glass isn't half empty, it isn't half full. There just isn't enough in it.

Dresden copper Athlons are blue and Austin, Texas Athlons with aluminum are green. It has to do with the polishing compound applied to the chip, and not the metal used.
