Drilling in a desk

Anyone know if the Ikea MALM DESK is "safe" to drill through?
Anyone done it?

Think you came to the wrong forum 😛. Anyway, what do you mean it's "safe" to drill through? Of course it's safe unless you drill on a connection between 2 pieces, try to avoid those. Also you might damage the paint, polish or varnish.

(this is all theoretical stuff, probably you can just drill through it)

Cheap materials like that may just have the hole become bigger over time depending on what you are doing.
