Drilling in a Fractal Design Node 605

Hello there.

I am trying to pick the components for my htpc so I can begin putting money aside so I have it directly when I get my own place.
Problem description: HTPC will be used mainly for media and TV purposes using MediaPortal. Controlling it via ethernet and IR MCE remote. Gaming will also be done using Steam's Big Picture mode. However, the Fractal Design Node 605 doesnt supply a ir window..yet
I will be adding a capable gpu in it alongside a tuner card.

My question: Would it be possible to carefully drill a hole in the case next to the power button, attach some dark plastic foil and glue/attach a IR receiver on the inside? The case is truly magnificient, but it misses an IR mirror. Using the old remote hey! 😀 If you may have any other case suggestions, post away. I really like simple, minimalistic design.

You have mITX mobo?

Of do you think it is better be mATX ?

THanks for your response, at least this assures me a bit 😀
Your proposed BitFenix case sure is a nice chassis, but it's way too big. My cas has to be in the cabinet under my TV.

Actually I have a Streacom FC5 EVO OD case at the moment, and im very fond of it! Fully passive, it owns 😀 But doesnt support gpu indeed, so out of the question.

I have mobo cpu memory video card+ PSU.
Asus X-58 sabertooth .Intel 960 and asus 560 + 6 GB memory.
When I upgrade the new memory to new build then it do have 12GB.
