Wanted to reboot my desktop, Dell 8400, as I continuously get a lost registry file message at start up. All else seemed OK. So, I backed up everything but Windows using a flash drive. Then, I start. I load the Windows OS disk, the system begins reboot and then I get this error message that the system shut down due to some catastrophic error. I get an error message saying "Drive 0: Maxtor 6y160m0 - fail. return code 7." What does that mean?
