Drive advice for Maximus Hero IX build

I'm putting together a new system with the Maximus Hero IX board.

I was going to put a pair of 2.5" ssd's in there but I'm thinking this thing does support dual m.2 drives. I'm kinda liking the idea of going with m2's to keep things simple no sata or power cables that way.

Would there be any disadvantage to doing this? (Aside from cost?)

Just keep in mind that the 2nd M.2 port will not support a SATA SSD, only NVME. Other than that, there is no problem.

Dual M.2 Socket 3 Type M
‧1 x 2242~2280 (PCIe 3.0 x 4 + SATA)
‧1 x 2242~22110 (PCIe 3.0 x 4)

Cool I was planning on a pair of Samsung 960 EVOs so they'll both be NVME.
