Drive details unavailable

If I right click on any of my drives HDD or flash the screen blanks temporarily. As a result I cannot check on spare capacity. I can still see all the files if I left click. some file missing?

It would be nice if you provide some more information.

How many physical drives do you have?(you can check that out under Disk Management) In Disk Management, you can check out the free storage space.
What are your system's specs?

Apart from that, I believe that it may be a good idea to test the drive with some of these: http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/282651-32-best-diagnostic-testing-utility
Also, you can open Resource Monitor, right click on any of the drives and see if you will get high usage of something, while the screen blanks.

Some screenshots may be a of help as well.

Internal SSD and one physical drive plus two external drives.
I was trying to attach a word document of the full specs from Belarc but cut and paste do not seem to work.
If you give me an email address then I can send the full specs.
I may have accidentally deleted a file while trying, unsuccessfully, to remove Cortana totally from my system.
I will also run the suggested test but the drives are fully functional with all read and write plus view options available
