Drive for XP

I got a raid motherboard, but first I want to see if I can get XP to work. It wouldn't before. I want to load it on a third hard drive. this would be on a raid controller. I've not done this before so I'm not sure how it will work. I assume it will need it's own programs on that drive. It might need it's own dsl dialer. I don't want it to screw up anything on the first two drives. I want to be able to boot to it and test it for a while on it's own. If it begins to behave, then I'll replace my ME and use this drive for Raid 1. Thank you.

no problem.
you can install an xp on one alone drive & test it for a while before to use it as your first OS.
i have the same config with an xp pro drive, an win2000 pro drive & an win98 drive.

i can boot to one another by changing my bios boot setup.

note:
just one thing to pay attention to.
you can format your xp drive with ntfs but ntfs is not recognize by win98 (fat32).

if you know you don't know, the way could be more easy.
