drive image software???

how do i make an image that will fit on a cd? whenever i do an image, its a 40+gb drive with nothing on it, but it still uses 3 or 4 cds even with max compression. an i doing something wrong? what do you guys use? i am trying drive image 2002 right now.

I've always used Ghost, it compresses the images as it makes them. if the image is too big for one cd, you can break it up onto 2 cd's (called spanning disks). Then when restoring the image it will stop halfway and ask for disk 2.
