drive letter disappeared

I have been operating with win 8.1. Suddenly a week or 2 ago the drive./partition letter such as C, D, G are missing from my computer. Any body plz know this?

Try going to control panel, open folder options, select the view tab and make sure Show drive letters is checked. If not, check it and apply.
