Drive Lettering Issue

Hello All,
So, I was hoping that someone might be able to help me with a little problem. I have two external HDs - I store my movies and music on them. I have all files perfectly linked to iTunes and XBMC; however, at times I need to put a virtual drive on my system with Power ISO. This is causing my drive letters to fluctuate. I don't keep the externals powered up at all times, so if I have one powered down, then add a virtual drive it may take over the letter I have for my XBMC linked HD. I know I should have picked letters like M or N for the drives; but upon install and setting everything up, I have them as G and I. Is there any way to make these drives have static letters of G and I for each drive? I just screwed up my entire XBMC library because I cleaned the library but my drive lettering was wrong because I had a virtual drive on as well. Thanks.

Anyone have an idea as to how to assign letters to external drives so that they don't change? Assigning the letter through device manager doesn't keep the letter static, so I'm looking for other options.

Administrative tools - Computer management - storage/disk management: Change the drive letter and it should remember every time when that HDD is plugged in. I always re letter my drives so certain ones are certain letters that are easy to remember. I try to stick with higher letters in the alphabet so I don't run into conflicts and even started using A and B since floppies are non existent now.

This is where I usually go to correct the problem when it occurs. I have one external set to G and the other to I, I wish I would have went with letters later in the alphabet so maybe they wouldn't change. If I set a virtual drive through Power ISO, it will sometimes take the I drive, when I only want it to be the H drive. So, then I have to go into the Disk Management and reset them. I am thinking there is nothing I can do because I didn't choose letters for drives that won't be triggered when setting up a virtual drive. However, I have everything synced to iTunes with all metadata and the other drive synced with XBMC with all metadata for videos. It was a lot of work and if I change the drive now; all will be lost.
