Drive not found

http://I installed a new hard drive some time ago and have been having issues running games and installing the larger ones. There have been write and read errors and I have tried everything suggested on the steam forums.

Even when not in steam and not using the hard drive the Open Hardware Monitor shows crash reports like the one attached.

The hard drive is a WD Black 4 TB. It's about 5 months old. Any help would be most appreciated.

use data lifeguard diagnostic from wd on short and long for the hdd test .

Ran the short test and it failed the first time about halfway, saying "Drive 1 could not be found." It passed the second time and then ran the long test and it passed.

i would check with a new sata cable on short test to see ifit pass the first time if not save all data and if it still under warranty ask rma with the error code from test software .
