Drive not recognizing TYG03 16x blank DVD-R

Hi, I have a Matshita DVD-RAM UJ875AS and it will not recognize my blank JVC/TY 16x DVD-R printable media (TYG03). It will however recognize the 8x DVD-R (TYGO2). I have tried updating the driver but it claims it is current. I am not able to find any new firmware for it which is what I thought would help solve this problem. I have also uninstalled the drive and reinstalled it which did not help. Any ideas? I know the media is good because I tried it in another DVD drive and it shows up perfectly.

Not all media are compatible with all burners, use the TYGO2 media disks, or try some from media disks another manufacturer.

Have you rechecked the settings for the drive ? Do you have any software loaded for the drive ?
