can i findout my drive rpm(seagate 40 gig)without opening my case and looking at the label?

look at the label on the drive. write down the model number. go to seagates webpage. look up your drive!
tad dah!

whoops... you are eminently correct mr arrow.

well another way is to have a look in your bios, see what model it says when u do an autodetect.

i think u can also find the model number using sandra, though im not 100% sure of this.
