Drive showing up in bios but not in install meny

I recently bought a msi x99s gaming 7 mobo and a samsung 950 256GB m.2. When i try to install windows on it wont let me choose it. What can be the problem?

Check the BIOS to see what mode the storage controller is set to. If it's set to RAID then change it to AHCI. You might also need a driver to load during installing windows.

Which Operating System version?

Does the M.2 SSD support NVMe?
