So not the usual 150 or so gb that you always see with a drive. It's a 2tb m.2 samsung 980 evo. The drive shows 1.81 tb available total as expected. But I have a 1tb Seagate firecuda that has my os on it. I did a clean windows install. 980 evo was untouched. No raid setup.

I have about 250 gb of actual applications and stuff installed on the drive. It shows I have 500gb of data taken up on the drive. I've checked every folder. Where could this extra 250gb of data be?

I also checked for partitions and the drive has none. I'm at a loss.

Your running windows 10 and want correct information? That's a problem!:ROFLMAO:

(you have not discussed file tables formats and set asides: i assume your not ready for the conversation. you should not do anything to try to correct it: let win10 manage it)

(windows may become unstable or not boot if you try to fix things outside of it's offered settings interface. and even the offered settings are not always wise to change - depends)
