Try this.
Go to http://search.dse.co.nz/electronics-nz/dse-driver site.Download the driver for Win XP.
1.Uninstall any driver if you have.
2.Restart.
3.Connect the camera.Close the Windows prompt for installation.
4.Conect to internet.
5.Right click on the driver exe file.Select "Troubleshoot compitibility" and run as XP SP2 software.Accept any security prompt.
6.Check the cam if its working.
7.Now,go to Start>Devices and printers.Your cam should be listed here.
8.If you see a yellow alert/error icon right left to the cam icon,right click it.
9.Select Troubleshoot.
10.Windows will download the files which it will need from the internet.
11.If step 6 does not work,still follow the later steps.

Try this than.
First connect your webcam
go to my computer right click
go to properties
go to hardware click device manager in that
search for sound video & game control option in that click that + sign
you may notice a yellow marking in your webcam driver
right click then put update driver,it will fix it or even it show same click search for hardware change
it will fix it by its own ,but you should have internet connection for that
