So my machine is very old I simply can't afford one but in my efforts to play Ac origins and odyssey I found out that dxvk can lessen the cpu load. I managed to get it to playable levels on 471.96 (sadly the least stuttery driver 442.59 is pre vulkan.) but it I still feel it needs a little nudge more to keep that 60 fps constant. So I am looking for a stable driver for pascal architecture card that supports vulkan 1.3 and up so that I can try dxvk 2.0.
My pc specs are the following:
CPU: I5 7500 3.4 Ghz up to 3.8 Ghz ( I know I should probably look to replace it with 7700k on budget but new ones are simply not around anymore and ppl are asking ridicilous prices for used ones.)
GPU:MSI 1060 6gb gaming trio ( OCed a bit nothing major 100/450)
RAM: 16 GB of 2133 Kington hyperfury x (clocked trough xmp profile for what I understand).
PSU: Bequiet Systempower 9 750 watts.
Motherboard is b250g msi I think.
I know most people would say "go latest" yada yada but usually in my exp latest rarerly is all that good.
So in more clean manner
1. Can anyone suggest a stable driver supporting vulkan 1.3 + for a pascal based gpu.
2. And second with the risk to be lynched - I stopped my windows updates on 21h1 on kb4601554 back in the day(because I can't uninstall it...) because any further game perfomance turns into a complete mess. I don't play anything unreasonble mind you stuff like skyrim the above mentioned ac's (havent even tried to run valhalla). So if anyone has any sort of expirience with fully updated windows 22h2 and all and does it do well in games

honestly for cpu your best bet on used market would be
i7-7700 which are usually fine on ebay.

your best running direct x 11 if game supports it vulkan doesnt really work on pascal because of the way the architecture is on these gpus. it was fixed on 2000 series and up.

22h2 has gaming issues so it will effect negatively on hardware.

if your using the stock cooler for intel you may want to update it

to something like this

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thermalrig...8-8-spons&sp_csd=d2lkZ2V0TmFtZT1zcF9tdGY&th=1

cooler cpu the longer it will stay at its max clock speed.

my cpu cooler is Freezer 34 which honestly is..... overkill for 7500 but I got in on a ridicilous sale so why not. Hmmm then why did it improve my ac odyssey perf at least somewhat. With it's internal monitor tool it transfered a lot of calls from the cpu to the gpu for what the number show. I wonder if I try to run these games with HAGS on (to my understanding it does something simular to transfering calls from the cpu OS to the gpu but just on general level.) it would work better.
