No I DO not guess so but maybe if your PC's graphics card is old . Your PC and Graphics card ?

It is an i5 3570K 3.4 GHz on a P8Z77-V mother board with a GTX 660Ti

Make sure you are plugging in the HDMI to the graphics card not the integrated graphics. Also make sure that on your TV you select the proper HDMI input.
