Hey so ive been looking online for a solution to this problem for awhile, haven't found an answer to it yet so im looking for help

i recently built a new pc (upgrading when i have money bit by bit) right now its using Sapphire HD 4850

my problem(which i suppose i can live with but limits my gaming somewhat(e,g i can play dota 2 on alright settings but cant even install minecraft xD)

so right now the computer is using the automatic Driver (win 8.1 x64) - ATI Radeon HD 4800 Series(Microsoft Corporation - WDDM v1.1)

the driver is working okay as i said i can play dota 2 but i would like my proper amd ccc driver working

ive tried disabling wddm driver and uninstall then install ccc and tried reinstall etc

the ccc installs fine but when i try to open ccc i get "catalyst control center cannot be started" "there are currently no settings that can be configured using CCC"

and in device manager under display adapters ive tried to switch it to the ATI drivers but it can never locate them

i dont write on forums much so idk about formatting etc and ive probably forgotten to add something important but i would really apreciate the advise on this, thanks

Solution
First of all you need to TOTALLY remove all the old drivers. Use this link.
http://www.wagnardmobile.com/DDU/
Note:
Select the respective company(i.e Nvidia or ATI) drivers to be uninstalled.
Use clean and restart option.
And then install the new drivers after rebooting.
