Hello!

I could use some advice.
For several days-weeks now after my pc has been off for a day, when i start it, it freezes when reaching desktop or just before on windows screen.
It seems to be a graphics card driver problem but why? Each time i've uninstalled all drivers properly and downloaded and updated to the latest ones available. It works until the next shutdown and boot-up. And the next day the same problem continues and have to do it all over again. Then it leads me to windows repair screen where after a short while it demands for user input, but mouse and keyboard disconnect, so i can't continue there, Currently i'm in safe mode, CPU graphics work fine. Nothing is overclocked.
My system is a little over 5 years old. Yes, i do realise system is old and outdated but i need to figure out whether this is a software or hardware problem.
System:
Windows 7 pro 64 bit
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX760 MSI Hawk
CPU: Intel i5 3570 @ 3400ghz
PSU: Corsair GS600
Motherboard: ASrock Z77 Extreme 4
RAM : 8GB (2x4GB) Kingston hyperx beast @ about 2133mhz
Memory: 240GB Kingston SSD ( Windows installed here and boots here ) and some random 1 TB hard drive

One of the attempts to start PC i reached this screen:

Any and all ideas welcome.
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,

Kristo

Looks like you have onboard graphics on that motherboard, remove the nVidia card, see how the system runs. If it does fine without it, test the card in another system and see if it works there. You tried different drivers, did you try a clean Windows setup?

That is actually what i am currently trying. I have a new fresh install of Windows 10 and at the moment i am directly on CPU graphics, i took video card out, so far so good.
I am going to install it now with drivers and see if it works tomorrow.

EDIT: Now after a clean windows 10 install, all seems to be working, maybe it was a virus or a part of windows was corrupt.
Thanks anyways!
