hey all! so i have a old HP pavilion A1700n that my parents use and they called me over because the internet stopped working? at first i thought it was just a simple unplugged cord. so i unplugged everything waited 15 seconds and plugged it back in, didnt seem to work... so i went into the computer drivers and i saw that all of her WAN/LAN drivers have a yellow exclamation mark and iam unable to update or do anything to them as it says "unable to update drivers" i am completely lost! any help would be very much appreciated! if you need anymore computer details just ask.

also i did try and download the drivers onto a flash drive and pull them over, but that didnt seem to work either.. maybe i did it wrong? i'm not quite sure. Thanks again!

Hey thanks for the fast reply! first off if i try and update something like "wan miniport" itll say "windows found the software update but encountered a error" and this happens everytime. around each one of those under network it has a yellow triangle with a exclamation mark.

yes i am in device manager if i click device properties it says under status "This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)"

i did recently add a soundcard into that computer because the soundcard drivers were having issues too. could it be as simple as me removing that and restarting the computer? could a soundcard even cause these problems?

well i didnt think that a sound card could cause that so i havent done so. i guess i should try removing it restarting the computer and see if that "helps" fix the problem
