Driver problem

Does anyone know why my nvidia drivers (6.49) seems to uninstall themselves under Win2K? I simply reboot my PC and it runs in 640X480 16 colors ... Why? I had to re-install the drivers, but will it happen often?

I say that if a 2 FPS difference doesn't really matter to you, stick with the Det3 driver supplied by nVidia (6.31, I think).
I've got that driver installed in Win2K and never had a problem with 3D games.

I was using them too, but I was getting low performance under Win2K, I upgraded that and my Via 4 in 1 driver, I don't kno ich one got me the best boost ...

What is "low performance" for you?

Around 15% performace loss. but it might be the via chipset driver more than the nVidia driver that might have solved/caused the problem ...

Via dose have driver/chipset problems with AGP, so I suggest trying every available nVidia driver to find out which one is the most compatable with the newest VIA drivers. I have heard of some good results with the 6.47 driver under Win2k.

Once I updated to 6.49 I have no performance loss, but it seems the drivers will uninstall itself once in a while.
