Hi all ! I was trying to download Ati tool yesterday and found out that its not a signed driver. So i downloaded a program to override the signature and it still didnt work. Now i have the words "test mode" in all four corners of my desktop and a Vista build 6001.1 on the top middle ? Any suggestions on how i can get rid of it or am i not making any sense? I did a system restor to the day before but its still there.

You are running in safe mode I guess. Uninstall ATI Tool and see if it boots normally, and make sure you pick normal startup mode if given the option when booting. Forget ATI Tool, it's deprecated now. Development ground to a halt in 2007 and doesn't look to be going anywhere soon.

Thank you. Can you recommend anything else?

Rivatuner. It doesn't have the artifact scanner but it does provide overclocking for both ATI and NVIDIA cards and driver tweaks for NVIDIA drivers. It also has signed drivers, so workarounds are not needed.

Uninstalling ATI Tool and that workaround should fix the problem as long as it also removes the ATI Tool driver.

Btw, I noticed you have more than one thread on this, which is inefficient because we don't know what else you've tried and may provide conflicting information. Stick to this thread for now: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/252650-29-tool

I'll post there so if you respond to me it won't look weird :D
