Hello, after I recently changed to a better faster plan from Xfinity, I started getting these blue screens at seemingly random intervals:
Your device ran into a problem and needs to restart. We're just collecting some error info, and then we'll restart for you.

Stop code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
What failed: athuw8x.sys

FWIW...this is an example of an error I would get. As well as other errors.
Several times a week for 6 years.
In my case it seems it was bad memory. (However memory utilities couldn't find any problem.'
I had 2x2Gigs.
Replaced them with 1x4Gig that I found in my junk pile.
May get new 2x4 Gigs as memory at that level is cheap.
Now been running almost two weeks without a single crash.
May have been coincidental...I don't know.

Thanks, I removed one of my memory modules to test the PC and I just got another blue screen. I got a different stop code this time:
Stop code: KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED
What failed: athuw8x.sys

Before I replaced the memory, I also get this stop code:
Stop code: ATTEMPTED_WRITE_TO_READONLY_MEMORY
What failed: athuw8x.sys

Atheros wireless lan driver.
Update drivers to latest version for your Atheros wireless device.
Or disable/remove it and use wired ethernet instead.

Oh, I see. Could you please provide a link to the latest version?

I looked in the Device Manager and I see a Qualcomm Atheros AR7015 Wireless Network Adapter.

I found this driver. Can I install it:

I also use the TP-Link TL-WN822N Ver:2.0 Wireless Network Adapter.
