Drivers and Directx Help

So, I have a Gateway MC78 64-Bit Vista system. For years I had Windows 7 running on it and with the new Windows 10 coming out I decided to upgrade. After the upgrade a few of my programs decided to stop working, I am no longer able to download programs because it says something along the lines that I don't have any DirectX programs installed, and well, every time I go to install any DirectX program, they all do not work/fail to install. I looked at my device manager and noticed that my "Mass Storage Controller" had no drivers had no device installed for it. (Code 28?) It also says to click update but it also does not work, saying that it has no update available and so on.

I am utterly confused, I just need help with this problem, I've had this laptop for years now and I have another laptop (that the internet capability does not work) that has issues and well, I would hate to have to give up this laptop.

The "Mass Storage Controller" is most likely your Card Reader that is missing drivers.

Windows10 comes with DirectX 12.
