Drivers for AMD FX 6300?

My friend is telling me that there is a CPU driver. Is that true? If yes could you please link me a download because i cant seem to find it.

Driver, no. Perhaps your friend ment updating BIOS.

Early on, for Windows 7 there was a patch that helped Windows separate the coupled cores and utilize the physical resources better. That was rolled into an SP for Windows 7 and Windows 8 should have it by default.

Are we talking about unparking cores? If so, you still have to do it manually I'm pretty sure.

^ doesn't affect the piledriver chips in win 7 or 8 - any issue does occur just disable c1e states in bios.
