'Drivers not found' when installing w7 64-bit

I need help with installing w7. Due to some hardware replacement my windows 7 64-bit failed to run and I tried to reinstall it. But at the collecting information -phase it said "Error: A required CD/DVD device driver is missing".

Installing w7 32-bit (from CD) worked fine and installing motherboard drivers was successful. I thought 64-bit could then install as all the drivers are already there but I think I was wrong.

However, after 32bit installation windows was able to detect the USB and Motherboard's CD. It still does not find the drivers automatically, but works by opening the lowest subfolder of each drive. BUT when trying to install the driver from the list after a while it says
"No new devices could be found. Make sure the driver files are correct and located on the driver installation media."

I also tried to install 64bit with MagicDisc but it gives me an error that it is not a valid 32bit program and can't run. I'm confused of this too - am I supposed to have a 64bit w7 to install 64bit w7?

Any idea what's wrong here?

Ok, check this out:
https://www.asus.com/us/Motherboards/PRIME-Z270-K/specifications/

Look at the bottom in fine print:
Windows® 8.1 64-bit and Windows® 7 32/64-bit are only supported when using 6th Generation Intel® Processors

I already knew 7th gen cpus aren't supported by those operating systems, so I was wondering why there were explicit instructions on how to install windows 7. I was like, "if Windows 7 isn't supported, why would they have instructions on how to install it?!?"It all makes sense now, that chipset can also run 6th gen cpus which are supported.

I tried to install Asus Z270-K motherboard's drivers, like RAID and Chipset drivers. I used the CD that came with the motherboard and also tried downloading the drivers to usb-stick.
It doesn't let me continue without installing some drivers.

No, I first had x64 bit but since it did not start nor reinstall I decided to install 32-bit first.
So, currently running 32-bit, trying to install 64-bit from usb boot drive.

Even if I'm in the installation screen of 64-bit windows?
So I should download 32-bit drivers for the installation of 64bit windows?
That would seem odd to me as the same errors appeared when I tried to install windows7 64bit on an empty disk - without OS at all.

So, to clarify: I'm stuck at the Windows 7 64-bit installation screen, at the phase 'Collecting Information', where some drivers has to be installed in order to continue to installing windows, and installing motherboard's drivers there fails both automatically and manually.

Are you trying to install onto the Samsung sm961 256gb NVM-E drive? If so you will need the driver for that device to install windows. Although this would be much easier on Windows 10 as it knows what an NVM-E device is and has basic drivers for such hardware.

Windows says nothing about disks, nor raid. (However, according to a thread I read the error message is usually about lacking raid drivers, so it's possible, I'm too new to this to say.) It only prompts me with the error message mentioned before, then a window of 'select drivers to install' and does not let me forward without choosing a driver and pressing 'next'.

I tried installing both to ssd and to hdd with same results. It never gives me an option to choose where to install it but I tried having either the ssd or hdd physically disconnected from the hardware.

Unfortunately the results were poor:
Method 1. I don't see this being different in any way from what I did before
Method 2: I managed to make the modified iso file as guided and a boot drive from it. However, when booting from it, I get this: "invalid or unsupported executable format". If tried to boot from it again during the same session, it says "Kernel must be loaded before booting".
Method 3: 'operation failed' at 20%

are you using this in a normal PC, then you keep trucking buddy, any drivers needed can be installed later when you have finished installed windows 7 x64bits, that screen is only for Special Driver for RAID or Raid related Motherboards.

just keep going.

I'm not entirely sure if I understand what you mean, but I downloaded the windows 7 64-bit iso-file from Microsoft's site, having bought it a few years ago but not having the dvd. I used wintoflash to make a bootable usb drive of it as I've done before.
After upgrading CPU, Motherboard and RAM windows failed to start, starting this reinstallation hassle.

Solution
for skylake you have to use a windows 7 installer tool that should be found in your boards download page under utilities [ at least for 100 series ]

from your boards support page [ utilities]

-ASUS EZ Installer
- Use this tool 1.03.03 to create a Windows 7 installation file with USB 3.0 drivers preloaded for 200 series motherboards.

bottom line is Microsoft and intel removed a few things from 7 to help prevent you from easly using it on skylake

may find some info here as well

http://www.asrock.com/microsite/win7install/

them tools slipstream the missing drivers

sorry forgot the asus one

OP doesn't have skylake.

Your ability to use Windows 7 and 8.1 on your existing machine depends on what kind of processor you’ve got. If your computer isn’t cutting edge, you’re probably fine. But if you’re using Intel’s latest-and-greatest Skylake processors, Microsoft is determined to strong-arm you into upgrading.

http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/windows-7-wont-work-intels-current-next-gen-cpus/

bottom line is 7 can work but not ''truly'' supported by intel or Microsoft on 100/ 200 series and the boards manufactures offer that tool to install it , but don't count on it to fully work or work as expected .

all this been covered for a long time and easy to find and read up on .. you do as they want now not as you want and you support them instead of them supporting you - them days are gone

Oh, thank you.
Darn, somehow I totally missed that when picking components. I installed w10 now and it's working fine.
I'm off to fighting against this microsoft's spyware.
Cheers!

I tried, and could've loved it, but the whole reason for my hardware upgrading was to be able to use a program which none has successfully ran on linux, making it nearly useless for me.
