I have several philips webcams & also a 3com webcam.
Are their different manufacturer's webcam drivers that
are compatable with the above webcams?

I'm not sure I understand your question.

Why can't you use the correct drivers?

Alternatively, you could try searching for "generic web cam drivers" I
guess.
