It doesn't matter- if Win98se recognizes it as a 52x Creative Labs, then it installed teh same ones. If you want, get the newest drivers, but there probably won't be any difference (if there even are newer drivers).

pretty much.
the default drivers work for most cd drives... as do the default ide drives.
it just lets your cd go at whatever max speed it can.

u really only need to undate the drivers if wierd things are happening like inability to read disks, mega slow reads, or deadly shruken-like cd ejections! lol

did i tell u about my old zip drive of death?
that can spit out a disk up to 3 foot over a smooth surface! (not fun when the drive is at head height on top of the case)

My old one had reason to complain....I got so pissed once I kicked it real hard. The motherboard came out of place, and the case has a dent in it now. hehe, it was a 200Mhz piece of junk.
