[SOLVED] Drives randomly unrecognized ?

Every so often, Windows 10 stops recognizing ALL connected drives EXCEPT my boot drive. I use testdisk to recover them but it's annoying. I'm not sure if it's Windows updates causing it or something else. I have run every disk scan and there are no errors on the drives. I have two SSDs and two conventional HDDs and they all stop being recognized at the same time.
It has happened half a dozen times in the last few months and it's ANNOYING. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Solution
I have seen this problem numerous times. The common factor seems to be Windows 10 and AMD Ryzen motherboards. I recommend DMDE as a far better (free) tool to recover the partitions. Just a few clicks and you're done.
