Hey !
I recently purchased a M.2 Drive from Samsung and installed it onto my PC. After the installation physically without even formatting it, I realized that 2 of my 3 drives, 1 X 850 pro SSD and a 4TB WD HDD had disappeared from my drive selection when i clicked on "My PC". In disk management, it was completely gone, couldn't find it for formatting and in BIOS, it says its not detected even after removing the SATA cables and installing it onto another port and also using a different cable to test. I only have a i7-6700k with a GTX 1070, so my 1000W EVGA Gold PSU definitely has sufficient power for these 4 drives. Has anyone experienced this and can help me out a bit? I'm doing a lot of AI Development for my University Courses and the disappearance of the 4TB HDD is really going to hurt me.

Thank you in advance for the help

Hi there Wieck,

So, you've tried attaching your SSD and HDD with different SATA and power cables, to another SATA port right?
Your OS is located on which drive?

Have you tried to attach those drive to another computer? I believe it would be a good start. That way, you will see if there's something wrong with your computer or the drives.

Let me know how this goes,

Um, I have installed my drives onto another PC and it was detected in the BIOS there so i think my Drives are not defective, but as far as my current PC goes, it is still the same issue. I have the OS installed on my 'C' Drive which is a 1TB WD HDD. It was still going fine last night however once the M.2 went in, my two drives would just be gone. Tried removing the M.2 but the drives aren't coming back.

On the manual. the M.2 drive only disables the SATA Express feature, but my SSD and HDD connect through to a single SATA3.

I;m using the ASRock Fatality H170 Performance Motherboard and I'm using SATA ports 3_0, 3_1 and 3_2
