Question Drop frames problems in games

Hello,

I have built a gaming computer some time ago that has the following specifications:
Processor: i3 8100 3.6 Ghz
Motherboard: B360M PRO-VD
Video Card: msi GTX 1050 gaming x 2GB
8 GB of RAM 2400 Mhz
SDD: Kingston 12gb
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200RPM
Power supply: nJoy storm 80+ 550w

For a few months I've been looking for a solution to my problem, that one being encountering drop frames to every single game my pc runs. The games I play (Skyrim, Oblivion, Elders Scrolls Online. Farcry 5) run at a constant 60 fps but randomly my fps drops between 1-15 fps.

Your i3 might be bottlenecking your GPU's performance. Just a guess.

What is your CPU load during drops?

Is that 8gb of RAM a single stick? If so that is hurting performance.

Usually when i have drop frames the cpu usage decreases to 10-20%, for exaple when is 60% used decreases to 40%-50%. And yes, I have a single stick of RAM.
