I thought that i got an ok drop tonight. My highest ever rune dropped from
my Necros Hellforge which to most is low but for me it's High. Mal. Then not
5 minutes later a Windforce dropped from the Venom Lord Boss from the seals
in Chaos Sanc. Not a bad drop run i thought.

What are windforces worth? Much?

I'm thinking of saving the Mal rune until i find me a Shael (not hard) and
an Ethereal Feral Axe to make Oath. I've heard alot of pplz use them in
those weapons so i thought if i could find one, make an Oath i might get a
decent trade. Opinions?

Lucky- I keep running Hell Countess, and jump for joy if I get a Thul
instead of the usual sub-Tal nonsense.

My nec needs a Ko for a runeword, but damned if I can find one. SP, so
offers of trades are politely declined.

I have a Shael if you need one... I kept running NM Countess looking
for a Sol rune... I found 2 Shaels, 2 Hels, 1 Dol, and a bunch of Els
and other runes before I found 1 Sol rune.

Very nice. Mal is ok for a Hell Hellforge drop, the only two higher runes
possible are an Ist and a Gul.

>What are windforces worth? Much?

Pretty much. Only variable is the mana steal on it, and I think I saw them
being traded for more than an Ist at the end of the last ladder. So in the
current state of things, where Harlequin's Crests are traded for Mal-Ist,
I think this is worth much more, perhaps a Vex or even higher, if you run
into the right buyer.

But why trade away such a rare find? Use it build a Bowazon with! If the
game gives me a 'sign' like this, I would find it a pity to just trade
away a godly item like this...

You want to make an Oath, and then trade the Oath away? Why not just trade
the Mal itself?

I mean, if you get a bad roll on the variable stats of the Oath (ED and
Magic Absorb) it's even possible you get offered less than a Mal for it.
Also, keep in mind Oath is also made a lot in ethereal elite swords
(Balrog blade is a very popular choice), so the Feral Axe is also a bit of
gamble.

Of course, if you're lucky and roll a close-to-perfect one, you might get
offered quite a bit more... So my advice to me: save the gambling with the
Oath runeword for when you have multiple Mal runes _and_ have more of an
idea of what type of Oath weapon is most wanted!

Regards,

Patrick.

I second Patrick in not trading your Windforce. Early season 2 (East
HCL), WF was traded around Ist to 2 Ists. Toward the middle of the
season, it went down to Mal to Ist. After the 23 new runewords were
announced, no one bothered with WF anymore. Faith was the new buzz
word among the bowazon community. Toward the end of last season, you
could get WF for a Pul or sometimes less. Even though the prices are
possibly different in different realms, I believe the trend will be the
same.

If you really have no use for it, you may consider trading that to a
friend for a different item. Ists, you can get from Forges, but WF,
you may not see another one this season.

Thanx Patrick. I might just look around and see what offers people will
throw my way for my Windforce. As for the Mal rune i think i'll just hang
onto it for a while. I'm not overly stressed about trading off the Windforce
because i look to have equipment that i can use on a variety of characters
rather than just 1. I mean like for instance if i had Delerium, it would
move character to character. I like to make things that can benefit me alot
rather than limited i guess. Maybe i'm just strange.

I might make some games like Windforce 4 rune offer ...or something like
that....who know what i'll get.
