Hello,

Google searches have come up with nothing so I'm asking here, not looking for a guide however.
Can I take a home server make it act like a dropbox for downloading and uploading files outside of my intranet, securely?
If anyone has an explanation of how it would work so I can get an idea of what is involved that would be great.

Thanks.

Setup a DMZ port on your router, connect your server to that, setup sharing on it, then you can get to the server by your external IP with a port number after it like 23.45.67.67:40 and it will hit that server.

Just make sure you have it patched and have a firewall running on it.
