I dropped my 2T Seagate Harddrive(Model: SRD00F1). I didn't see how it fell cause I was looking away. when I tried to connect it to my computer its not showing up anywhere even in the Disk Manager.

When I plug it in I hear the disk spinning along with a clicking sound (tik tik tok tok something like that). About a second later then its stops. The LED light is still lit up but other than that, nothing.

I hope this is nothing too serious cause I can't lose a single kilobyte in that harddrive.

Solution
Bad news - - the hard drive is internally damaged, the clicking you can hear is the read/write heads trying to escape from the platters where they are trapped. Both the heads & the platters are damaged. There is no way to fix that.

You should never rely on just one hard drive on which to save important data. You need at least two so you always have a backup.

All you can do now (if you can afford it) is to let a data recovery service have it to see what they can recover.
