Dropped Internet Connection

I just switched from a Linksys wireless router to a Linksys wired router as I didn't have enough bandwidth to supply 3 PC's in the office and maintain reasonable speeds. With the wireless, I was getting 38.30 mbps and with the wired, it jumped to 66.70! The oldest PC is running XP SP3 and has never experienced an internet connection problem until after the switch to a wired router. The other two PC's are running Win7-64 Home Premium. The router is configured properly and my IP addresses are as such. No problem at all on the other two PC's, all three PC's running off the same wired router. I even switched wires from different ports on the router. No change. The XP SP3 PC will drop an internet connection in under 5 minutes from logging on to the web. It can be repaired quickly using the "Repair" utility in the LAN Area Connection file, but I'd like to find a permanent solution.

Thanks
