dropped my laptop now a blank screen after login

I dropped my laptop reccently and not when once it loads and I login the screen will go blank and just have a cursor. It takes about 3-5 minutes for the loading of each step. I've only have the laptop for about two weeks and I'm hoping for a simple fix. Fingers crossed.

you are going to need a new hdd.doesnt take much of a drop to take out a hdd.you could try for warranty,just dont mention dropping it.
