Dropped my SSD is it going to be OK?

So I just dropped my SSD accidentally on the carpet from less than 1m I doesn't look like something happened to it. I didn't install it yet and just wondering can it be damaged inside or not

Very unlikely that you damaged it. SSDs have no moving parts, if you hear nothing rattling around when you shake it, you should be fine to install it.

It can be, but it is probably fine. Give it a shot, either it works or it doesn't.

Think of it like dropping an oversized USB Memory stick. I would be very surprised if it was damaged. They are so light, and as others have stated. Its not the same as dropping a mechanical hard drive. its just a PCB with some NAND chips onboard in a little enclosure.

Just don't go experimenting and drop-kicking it across the yard to see if it still works. 😛
