So, I have the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB GAMING ACX 2.0 as my GPU and while doing cable management, I noticed some wires were blocked by the heatsink or whatever the hell the metal thing is around the CPU. I decided to unscrew it and the thing fell on my GPU, TWICE. I know, I'm an idiot. Besides me being stupid, it fell on the left side of the GPU and I'm unsure if my GPU is damaged or not. As of writing this, it is working okay, but I need conformation. Thanks!

Solution
As long as nothing touched the interior of the GPU and the thing that plugs it into the motherboard isn't damaged, it shouldn't be a problem at all, and obviously from the situation it doesent sound like anything could have gotten into the interior. It sounds absolutely fine to me

It's still working now, right? Which means you're VERY lucky. Cracked board can easily happen, and the slot, etc.

Sounds fine. You got lucky. Now stop being an idiot and next time lay your computer on the side when working, and don't drop anything on anything.
