Drops in transfer rate causing performance issues

Hello,

I've been experiencing the issue more and more that when games or applications are trying to access my HDD(When saving or loading certain new areas) my FPS drops horribly. After looking into the issue I've come across a weird pattern when comparing it with my other HDD(Using HDtune)

You can notice the immense drops in transfer rate, also the access time seems relatively slow.

I just how have no clue what is causing it anymore, I have defragged, ran CCleaner did every possible virus scan around. And the smart tests show no error at all.

After the mere lack of response I started looking for problems related to WD, after a few google searches I hit the subject about LLC(Load_Cycle_Count). As the Western Digital Hard Disks seem to have the known issue of putting things in a heavy park to save energy. This seems to have caused the sleeps it enters.

Anyway if you have an equal issue and a WD you might want to look into "wdidle3".
