I was replaceing my ryzen cpu with a more powerful cpu i got thermal paste stuck in the middle of the cpu socket whare the small amount of chips are i cant get the paste out because its squished in between the small chips
it would be the paste thats from the thermal pad that came with the ryzen 3 1200 coolerWhat kind of paste? If it's not conductive or capacitive, there's nothing dangerous about leaving it there if you're not able to get it out.
Me personally...I'd leave it there vs. risking any damage to the MLCC's in that tight spot.it would be the paste thats from the thermal pad that came with the ryzen 3 1200 cooler

I can't believe AMD would allow use of conductive paste on consumer-market coolers. And any dielectric property difference compared to the warm air normally in that space would be insignificant to the DC voltages those MLCC's are filtering.
Multi-Layer Chip CapacitorWhat does MLCC stand for?
Hmm, can't find much info on it. Most paste is non-conductive. Not sure about capacitive. Are you not able to get at it with something like a q-tip and some rubbing alcohol?
[/QUOT. I got it out but im not sure if thare is still some small debris im afraid to even put my new cpu in

Sorry for late reply but mm2 is a chip on the board that deals with the pcb power well its pins are damaged im not sure my pc repair told me it would be impossible for it to be desoldered as thare is no connections on the backWhat's an "Mm2 pin"?
