DS4 controller stopped working

So my DS4 controller (which is the ps4's controller) was working just fine, but today windows or DS4windows won't recognise it. I have rebooted, changed the usb port and reinstalled ds4windows. I tried to look for solutions and one was that enable something from the device manager. Well this "something" is nowhere to be found. Please help me with this I have no clue what to do.

If the controller is no longer shown in Device Manager (and it used to be) that could be because the controller itself has developed a fault rendering it undetectable by the system.

Try to borrow a controller and try it to confirm that yours is faulty before buying a new one.

I have tried a different controller.
