DS4 (DualShock 4)not showing up in available devices

I am connecting my DS4 (DualShock 4) controller to my PC via a USB cable. When I plug it in, the orange light flashes slowly but the controller never shows up in the available devices. I've tried restarting my PC and pressing the small pin-hole button on the back of the controller but still no luck... Any ideas?

Connect it to your PS4 and disconnect it, as in un pair it from the PS4. Then connect it to the PC.
