DSL Apartment Wiring Connections

My ISP supplies DSL to my apartment through a two-port RJ11 jack with one labeled as DSL and the other as phone. Two network cables run to the jack and on one of the cables the blue/white and orange/white run to the "CUST" and "DATA" ports on the back. The blue/white from the other cable runs to the third port on the back labeled as "CO-IN". I have the DSL port running to my modem/router.

I also have a RJ45 jack on my counter in my kitchen that has the orange/white wires running to the port on the back from another network cable.

I am not too familiar with DSL wiring/networking in general so my question is, is there any way I can see where this cable is coming from and possibly get internet access (from my router) through to this RJ45 port located in my kitchen so that I can set up an access point? The wireless sucks out there because my router and ISP connection are too far away so I was hoping to improve the coverage. I have tried wireless bridging with no luck.

I will attach some pictures of my connections I am referring to. The first two are my incoming lines from my ISP and the third is the jack located out in my kitchen.

Any help or comments are greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

No, you cannot use the single pair to run an Ethernet connection. If there are 8 unused wires, which isn't likely as it is probably only 8 wires maximum, you could possibly use them by isolating them at each end and attaching Ethernet connectors.

I suspect that the best way to get the Internet to another area of your apartment will be with a pair of AV1200 powerline adapters. Wireless is usually poor in high density environments like apartment complexes.

Thanks for the response. Yeah this is what I figured but I still wanted to make sure. I am still confused why one of the cables at the RJ11 dual port jack just has the blue/white wires going to the "CO-IN" port on the back and if any of these even connect to the other cable running to my kitchen...

Either way I have never heard of those AV1200s or even powerline networking in general so I will definitely check those out! Thank you for the recommendation and yeah it might be the best bet for me in my 10-story apt complex.

Not sure either.

Anywhoo, as already mentioned 1 pair cannot do ethernet, all you can do is, if there is another DATA jack somewhere else, u maybe able to move your DSL modem over there and that's about it.

Ok cool thank you guys for the help. I appreciate it. I will check out that website then and probably end up trying out one of those adapters.

Thanks again!
