My ISP supplies DSL to my apartment through a two-port RJ11 jack with one labeled as DSL and the other as phone. Two network cables run to the jack and on one of the cables the blue/white and orange/white run to the "CUST" and "DATA" ports on the back. The blue/white from the other cable runs to the third port on the back labeled as "CO-IN". I have the DSL port running to my modem/router.
I also have a RJ45 jack on my counter in my kitchen that has the orange/white wires running to the port on the back from another network cable.
I am not too familiar with DSL wiring/networking in general so my question is, is there any way I can see where this cable is coming from and possibly get internet access (from my router) through to this RJ45 port located in my kitchen so that I can set up an access point? The wireless sucks out there because my router and ISP connection are too far away so I was hoping to improve the coverage. I have tried wireless bridging with no luck.
I will attach some pictures of my connections I am referring to. The first two are my incoming lines from my ISP and the third is the jack located out in my kitchen.
Any help or comments are greatly appreciated!
Thank you.
