How do these components connect to eachother (meaning where do the ethernet cables plug into each of these components)?

I'd say that if the modem and ata were set up by your ISP and are currently working, just plug the router into the Ethernet port on the ata.
It would be better to check out the modem configuration and set up the router accordingly though.
