dsl without phone line?

im wanting to get earthlink dsl but i have no phone line and dont want to install one.would all i need is a modem and router?

how else would you expect the DSL to work if they didn't install a phone line? what would you connect the modem or router to to get it to work? anyway in most countries if all you need is internet they will just install the phone line and just charge you for internet and won't force you to sub to a homephone service too

I would read the question as "Do I need to sign up for a phone service as well?"
It is up to EarthLink to answer that (ATT do allow for one to have DSL only).
