Question DSR and RTX

does RTX cards support dsr? or just DLSS ? OR BOTH?

RT X cards support both Ray Tracing, as well as DLSS. DSR was a different older tech. Only these are the supported GPUs:

Forgot to mention that DSR has been replaced with a new tech dubbed as DLDSR. Check the Tom's article link which 'Third-Eye' posted. See below reply.

DSR on RTX cards is replaced in the control panel by DLDSR, which is like DLSS but in reverse. DLDSR requires an RTX card to use. The non RTX cards still have the original DSR in the control panel. I think you can still use the old DSR on RTX cards if you want.

i love DSR it does amazing things on my old card

is any of those on rtx card the same? can you choose how to scale ? or is it all automatic like on dlss? i dont like dlss

Just wonder if you're confusing FSR with DSR.

DSR increases the resolution the GPU renders your games and outputs it to your currently set lower resolution. DLSS and FSR render the game at a lower resolution and output at a higher resolution.

DSR and DLDSR require more processing power and lowers your fps while DLSS and FSR take load off your GPU so you have higher fps.

does dlsdr also let you upscale manually like dsr in nvidia control panel... in DSR you can upscale manually it works great for me

i have tried DLLS even on quality it looks way worse than what DSR does on my old card.... DSR you can upscale 1080p upto 8k and it looks amazing and runs on my old 1080gtx

i have tried DLLS on my rtx 2060 .. and its not as good at all its a blurry version even at full quality setting of dlss settings
